Busy September 2025

EGCP has had a very busy September, and a very lucky one as well. On September 13th Lauren Smith and David R Green hosted the EGCP stall at the SeaFest event in Peterhead. This is the second time it has run, and I have to say it was even better than the first time around. A great community event, lots to see and do, faces from Scotland and The Netherlands, fantastic seafood, coffee and much more, lots of children and dogs........ we both had an amazing time, and it was so well organised and run again which made it all that much more fun and pleasant! Well done all on creating and hosting such an enjoyable event!

But more was to come, and on 17th September, Lauren and I were invited along to the Aberdeenshire Inspiring Awards at Meldrum House Hotel for the awards ceremony. We had been kindly nominated and shortlisted for the Beautiful Aberdeenshire Environmental  Award. There was some fantastic competition amongst the finalists, and neither of us thought we would win....... how wrong were we?! We won!

This is very special to EGCP Ltd, as this is our 20th Anniversary!

We are all so very grateful for being nominated and would like to thank the panel for awarding this prestigious award to us.  We would also like to thank all the Directors, staff and volunteers for their effort and support that has helped the Turning The Plastic Tide Project (TTPT) to gain this recognition for all the hard work that has gone into running the TTPT Project and all the beach cleans that have 'netted' us some 134 tonnes of beach litter between 2018 and 2025.

What a scoop!

Well done also to all the other award recipients and the runners up. Some truly amazing work being done in Aberdeenshire by all the nominees.
