Dedicated to the Memory of Captain Robbie Middleton

We are very sorry to hear of the passing of Captain Robbie Middleton. Robbie was a great man with an infectious smile, a keen wit and boundless energy.

He joined the East Grampian Coastal Partnership at the first meeting of the steering group looking into the feasibility of forming the Partnership and served as its Chair for the first seven years.

He oversaw the development of our early work on the State of the Coast, Marine Spatial Planning and our contribution to the Marine Scotland Act. As well as his work for EGCP, he also gave time to Peterhead Harbour Board, SNH (now NatueScot) and a wide range of other organisations.

He often joked that his life got really busy after he retired!
