Aberdeen
Aberdeen
Aberdeen is a coastal city with a lot to offer. From miles of award winning beach to places to see dolphins to the indoor shopping centres and cosy pubs, there is something for everyone.
Coastal features include the beach, harbour, lighthouse, golf course and Footdee fishing village. These can be enjoyed in a pleasant walk along the shore south from the River Don.
Torry Battery, just south of the harbour, is a particularly special place in the city. It is a spectacular viewpoint for looking out over Aberdeen and to the Grampian Mountains behind it, or down to the harbour and along the shore. Perhaps most exciting are the bottlenose dolphins which can often be seen playing and feeding at the harbour mouth.
